Survey Responses

This was a yes/no survey with the option of adding further comments.

  1. Do you support the right of faith-based schools and organisations to only hire people who share their ethos?
    Yes.

  2. Do you support the push to ban ‘conversion therapy’ (including prayer and faith-based counselling) for people who are struggling with their gender or sexual orientation?
No. Boys and girls should love the body God gave them and not seek to change sex through medical

intervention, encouraging transgender transition through ‘gender affirming care’ is nonsense!

  3. Do you support banning biological males from competing in women’s sport?
Yes. I’m passionate about this one!

  4. Would you support the formation of a parliamentary committee to ensure the recommendations of the Commission of Inquiry into Child Sex Abuse are properly implemented?
Yes. Child sex abuse is the worst form of abuse and we must do everything we can to stop it.

  5. Do you support banning late-term abortions (when a baby’s life is viable outside the womb), except where the mother’s life is at risk?
    Yes.

  6. Do you support compulsory pre-commitment cards for poker machine users?
Yes. I haven’t heard of this policy actually but I support it in principle because the pokies are robbing everyday Tasmanians blind and it can ruin lives.

  7. Do you support ongoing state funding of Dark Mofo?
Yes. Like him or hate him, David Walsh has done amazing things for Tasmania in creating MONA and various events across our state. I think the arts need support and Dark MOFO provides opportunities to artists as well as bringing in mainland dollars from those who flock here.

  8. Do you support the decriminalisation of recreational drugs?
Yes. Marijuana should be legal, as should magic mushrooms. They are herbal medicines and powerful gifts from God when used in the right way. People should be allowed to grow their own medicine.
